| Cinnabar Crystals シナバークリスタル 4.6x4.5x2.8cm 辰砂結晶 Mina de las Cuevas Almaden /Ciudad Real Spain \49,000 It is believed thad already the Romans mined Cinnabar from this Mine,about 2500 years ego !! After the mine was forgotten for centurys, there were some works done in the 18th Century,but again abandoned. In the 1970th an intact orebody got discovert in about 200 meters depth, mining begann in the eightys until beginning of the ninetys. Crystals from this Mine are very rare, the matrix is a Rock which is called "Frailesca" becauce it has the same color as the habit of the Franciscan monks (grey). |
